Woods Silver Fleet has operated on the Thames for over 75 years under family ownership, with a watermen heritage dating back to 1866. The fleet spans four distinct venue options — from a 550-guest flagship yacht to a 12-person luxury river taxi — plus a static riverside venue at Woods Quay. Combined, they cover a capacity range and format diversity that no single land-based venue can match.

The Silver Sturgeon is the flagship: a 61-metre contemporary river yacht carrying 550 standing or 440 for seated dinner, with architect-designed interiors, a dedicated dance floor, and a full AV installation. It sails the Westminster-to-Greenwich route, turning London's landmarks into a moving backdrop for gala dinners, awards ceremonies, and large-scale corporate entertaining.

The Silver Barracuda carries a different proposition entirely. A vintage Art Deco cruiser for up to 200 guests, its original interiors — mirrored Art Deco bar, oak-lined lower deck, artisan marble tables, retracting sunroof — have hosted prime ministers, royalty, and film stars over four decades. For events where heritage and intimacy outweigh capacity, the Barracuda delivers an atmosphere the Sturgeon does not attempt.

The Silver Darling seats just 12 in Matthew Hilton-designed interiors with Damien Hirst artwork and Swarovski luminaires. It operates as a luxury river taxi for intimate client entertaining, proposals, or small celebrations where exclusivity is absolute.

Woods Quay and Combined Silver Fleet Hire

Woods Quay is a RIBA award-winning static riverside venue with 250 standing capacity, a 56-seat tasting room with open kitchen, 160 metres of private moorings, and three distinct spaces — the Cormorant Deck, East Wing, and West Wing. It works as a standalone venue for riverside events or combines with the Silver Sturgeon for a "private island" experience reaching 900 guests.

Catering and Operations Across the Fleet

In-house catering across the fleet follows a British field-to-fork philosophy with dedicated chefs, seasonal menus, and sommelier service. The fleet departs from London Eye Pier or Woods Quay moorings, with a licence to 1am. EcoSmart Gold certified.
