About The Queen's Club
The Queen's Club was founded in 1886 as the world's first multi-purpose sports complex, named after its first patron, Queen Victoria. It hosted indoor events at the 1908 Olympics and remains the British headquarters for Real Tennis and Rackets — with two courts of each that represent a unique sporting asset worldwide. Every June, the cinch Championships bring the pre-Wimbledon tennis circuit here. For private events, the club opens six hireable rooms to non-members, and the backdrop of manicured lawn courts and 140 years of sporting history gives them a character that no purpose-built function room can replicate.
The President's Room
The showpiece event space seats 50 for dinner or holds 70 standing. Stately period interiors open through French doors onto a balcony overlooking the lawn tennis courts — a view that works year-round but becomes extraordinary during the grass court season. The room has the gravitas for formal corporate dinners and award ceremonies, with enough warmth to suit celebrations and private parties.
The Members' Dining Room and Bar
The Members' Dining Room is the largest space, seating up to 120 for dinner beneath high ceilings in a traditional club setting. For receptions and standing events, the Members' Bar holds 60 with a more contemporary design and dual views over Centre Court and the Real Tennis courts — a combination of old and new that captures the club's identity. The Roof Terrace opens for summer receptions with panoramic views across the grounds.
Meeting Spaces
The Centenary Boardroom and Meeting Room 1 each take up to 20 guests in modern, naturally lit settings suited to board meetings, strategy sessions, and smaller corporate events. Both offer a quieter, more focused alternative to the club's larger entertaining spaces.
Sporting Heritage Meets Event Hire
In-house catering delivers seasonal menus, with bespoke event theming, flowers, and after-dinner speakers arranged through the events team. The alcohol licence runs until 23:00 with extensions available. Non-members are welcome for private hire. Barons Court station is a two-minute walk. No on-site parking — the location favours tube access. The unique proposition here is the setting: events framed by sporting heritage that ranges from Victorian-era Real Tennis to international championship tennis, in a members' club environment that the general public rarely sees.
