About The Pelligon
Canary Wharf has always had corporate infrastructure. What it hasn't always had is a venue with genuine architectural distinction — the kind of space where the building itself justifies the event. The Pelligon addresses that gap directly. Designed by César Pelli as the sister building to New York's Winter Garden, the glass dome rises 27 metres above patterned marble flooring, with floor-to-sky panels that frame panoramic views of the waterfront, Jubilee Park, and the South Dock skyline.
The Pelligon's Architectural Identity
Art deco elements blend with contemporary glass engineering to create something that doesn't exist elsewhere in London. Steamed beech wood panelling, 682 square metres of patterned marble, and a dome that floods with natural light during the day and colour-washed illumination at night — the hall transitions between moods without losing its fundamental character. The glass panels can be wrapped for branding, making The Pelligon one of the few large-scale London venues where a corporate identity can extend to the building's skin.
Flexible Spaces Across The Pelligon
The Main Hall handles up to 1,000 guests for receptions, supported by a Gallery mezzanine for 250, a Waterside Terrace for 120, and a network of smaller rooms for workshops, green rooms, and production support. State-of-the-art AV, in-house technicians, and an approved caterer model give event planners the flexibility of dry hire with the technical backbone of a professionally managed venue.
Canary Wharf's Event Anchor
Adjacent to Canary Wharf station with Jubilee, DLR, and Elizabeth Line connections, The Pelligon serves the financial district's corporate calendar while drawing celebrations, exhibitions, and cultural events from across London. Licensed for civil ceremonies, with a waterside terrace that opens the venue to the river, it's a space that earns its place on the shortlist for any large-format London event.
