The Old Joinery is a converted warehouse on Deptford Creek — exposed brick, original timber beams, roller doors, and a creekside terrace that catches the sun and the sunset in equal measure. It is a working event space rather than a preserved museum piece, and the combination of authentic Victorian industrial character with modern event production is what makes it distinctive.

Five Spaces on the Creek

The venue flows through five connected areas, each with its own atmosphere. The Boatyard greets guests on arrival with heated covered seating and space for street food and drinks. Creekside is the terrace — overlooking the creek, the boats, and the working crane, it is a sun trap by day and a photogenic backdrop by evening. Inside, The Bar provides a period-furnished welcome, The Warehouse opens up as the main event room behind the roller doors, and The Gallery offers pool, darts, and karaoke in a more intimate setting.

External suppliers are welcome, the venue has its own recommendations, and the events team works with clients from planning through to the night itself. The licence runs until midnight with extensions available.
