The Ministry

The Ministry has been running events from its Borough Road address since 1991, which gives it something most converted-space venues lack: three decades of knowing exactly how events work in this building. The Victorian dairy factory retains its industrial bones — original brickwork, concrete floors, the kind of character that comes from genuine heritage rather than decorative choices — while the spaces themselves have been modernised with professional AV, ultra-fast WiFi, and an 11-metre copper bar that anchors the ground floor.

Nine Spaces, One Building

What distinguishes The Ministry from other Borough venues is the range. The White Space offers 200-capacity blank canvas with natural daylight and its own entrance. The Bar & Garden provides a 400-capacity weekend party space with heated outdoor areas. The Lounge adds curtained private booths and its own bar for more intimate events. Three executive meeting rooms, an acoustically treated recording-style space, and a filming-ready gym round out a building that handles corporate conferences, fashion shows, brand activations, weddings, and late-night celebrations — often on the same day.

Borough's 30-Year Venue

Ministry Venues' longevity isn't just a talking point — it translates to an in-house team that understands production logistics, supplier relationships built over decades, and a building that's been refined through thousands of events. The approved supplier model keeps catering quality consistent while offering choice, and the wedding licence (up to 130 guests) allows ceremonies in The White Space with receptions flowing through to The Bar & Garden.

Getting to The Ministry

The Borough Road location sits between London Bridge and Waterloo — two of London's major transport hubs. Borough and Southwark tube stations are the nearest, with Elephant & Castle also walkable. The 7am–2:30am building access and 1am licence give events a generous operating window, and full step-free accessibility ensures the venue works for all guests.
