The Listing

The Listing occupies a glass-fronted building on Bush Lane, one of the quieter lanes between Cannon Street and the river. It operates as a cocktail bar and all-day restaurant — the kind of place that runs from morning coffee through working lunches to late-evening cocktails with DJs, shifting register as the day progresses. The high ceilings and natural light give it a sense of space that the surrounding City side streets don't prepare you for.

What makes The Listing work as an event venue is the combination of atmosphere and scale. The 300 standing capacity puts it among the larger independent bars in EC4, but the interior design — contemporary, considered, with enough warmth to avoid feeling corporate — means it doesn't sacrifice character for numbers. A sheltered terrace adds outdoor space that most City venues can only envy.

A City Bar That Photographs Like It Means To

The glass frontage and ceiling height create a quality of natural light that does most of the atmospheric work during daytime events. For corporate occasions where the photos matter — comms content, social media, employer branding — the space delivers without supplementary lighting or careful camera angles. After dark, the mood shifts to something warmer and more intimate, with the high ceilings preventing the claustrophobic energy that lower-ceilinged bars develop when they fill up.

The cocktail programme anchors the drinks offering, with signature serves that go beyond the usual City bar list. The all-day kitchen covers everything from sharing platters to seated dining, and the in-house team handles event catering with enough flexibility to adapt to different formats and group sizes.

Bush Lane and the EC4 Neighbourhood

Cannon Street station sits a short walk away, with Mansion House and London Bridge both within easy reach. The Bush Lane address gives The Listing a slightly tucked-away quality — guests feel like they've found somewhere, rather than arrived at the obvious choice. For City professionals, that distinction between a venue that feels discovered and one that feels default is often the difference between an event people remember and one they don't.
