The Beams London

Twenty thousand square metres of authentically preserved industrial warehouse in the Royal Docks — four interior spaces and a series of exterior yards that together constitute one of the largest blank-canvas venue complexes in London. The Beams takes its name from the factory-style light wells in the roof beams that flood Space One with natural light, and that combination of genuine industrial heritage and operational scale defines the entire venue. This is where large-scale brand experiences, immersive productions, fashion shows, and cultural events find the space to be ambitious.

The Beams' Interior Spaces

Space One is the flagship: almost 70 metres long and 35 metres wide with 6.5-metre ceilings, exposed brick, concrete floors, metal pillars, and full-length factory windows. It holds 4,000 standing or 1,500 for dinner. Space Two offers 800 standing across 495 square metres with original red-brick walls, exposed pipework, and letterbox windows that can be blacked out for complete lighting control. Space Three is the most intimate at 327 square metres — sandblasted walls, natural light, and views of the Tate & Lyle Factory through full-length windows. Each space has a distinct character and can be hired independently or combined, and additional workspaces on mezzanine levels provide green rooms, production offices, and support spaces.

Outdoor Space at The Beams

The Courtyard offers over 1,000 square metres of outdoor space for festival-style events, street food, and al fresco extensions. The Front Yard provides connectivity near the venue entrance for larger site-wide productions. The Top Yard — 5,100 square metres — handles crew parking, unit bases, and large outdoor activations. For events that need both indoor and outdoor capacity at serious scale, the combined footprint is hard to match.

The Beams for Production Teams

Formerly part of the Royal Docks' industrial "sugar mile," The Beams has become a go-to venue for global brands, creative agencies, and production companies. An in-house stage with professional lighting and sound is available in Space One. Approved caterers Moving Venue and Seasoned handle food and drink — external catering is not permitted. The DLR to Pontoon Dock provides public transport access, and proximity to London City Airport suits international corporate events. Hire runs 07:00 to 07:00 with build and derig days available, giving production teams the operational window that complex events require.
