Drake & Morgan's Holborn outpost spreads 920 capacity across five rooms on two floors, and the split-level design is genuinely what makes it work for events rather than just being a big bar with a function room attached.

Upstairs is bright and social: an open-plan bar and kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows, a cosmopolitan feel, and a menu of sharing plates and pizzas from the in-house chefs. Downstairs shifts gear entirely. The Club — accessed via its own street entrance — brings proper nightclub infrastructure with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and a 3am licence. The Cocktail Lounge adds New York-style booth seating and a more relaxed party atmosphere. The Hide and Studio 61 provide smaller, more intimate spaces with their own private bars and entrances.

Sway's Dual Personality for Events

What makes Sway interesting for event planners is the genuine versatility. The Club hosts a 210-seat conference in the morning, then the same space runs a 300-person party that evening — and the technical infrastructure supports both convincingly. Full venue hire gives you all five rooms for events that need zones: arrivals and dining upstairs, entertainment and dancing below. Individual room hire works for more focused events, from intimate dinners in The Hide to large-format presentations in the Club.

The venue sits between Holborn and Covent Garden, with the tube station ninety seconds away. King's Cross and Euston are both within fifteen minutes, making it accessible for corporate guests travelling from across London or arriving by rail. In-house catering runs from day-delegate packages through to bespoke multi-course dinners, with mixology masterclasses available as an add-on for team events.
