Strings Restaurant

Every evening from 7pm, the owner of Strings Restaurant picks up a classical guitar and plays for his guests. Santy Masciaro built the restaurant around this — live Rodrigo, Tarrega, and Albeniz performed nightly in a family-run space inside County Hall. For private hire, it creates an atmosphere that would cost thousands to replicate elsewhere but comes naturally here.

County Hall and the South Bank

The address alone carries weight. County Hall sits on Belvedere Road behind the London Eye, opposite Big Ben, on the stretch of South Bank that draws millions of visitors each year. Strings occupies a ground floor within this landmark building — a family restaurant that opened in 2021, run by Santy and his partner Elise Weber. The location delivers gravitas without the corporate feel of larger County Hall tenants, and the surrounding South Bank offers guests a walkable pre- or post-dinner setting along the Thames.

Music as the Centrepiece

The live classical guitar is not background entertainment — it defines the experience. Santy trained as a professional musician before becoming a restaurateur, and the nightly performances shape how the room feels. For events, this means built-in atmosphere that guests remember. The stage and PA system also accommodate speeches and additional performances, making the space work for celebrations, launches, and corporate dinners where a focal point matters.

A Private Arrival on Westminster Bridge

The venue has two entrances, and the private one on Westminster Bridge Road changes how event guests experience the space. It can be styled and decorated for arrivals, giving milestone occasions and corporate events a sense of arrival that a standard restaurant booking cannot offer. Inside, Italian and Spanish sharing plates keep the food format sociable and relaxed, with in-house catering across all events. Licensed until midnight and a short walk from Waterloo station, Strings delivers an event experience built around live music and a storied London address.
