About Sky Garden Bars

Sky Garden occupies the top three floors of 20 Fenchurch Street — the Walkie Talkie — 155 metres above the City. What makes it unusual as an event venue isn't the height alone but what's up there: London's highest landscaped public garden, designed by award-winning landscape architects Gillespies, with lush tropical planting, mature trees, and floor-to-ceiling curved glass walls framing 360-degree views from St Paul's to the Thames and beyond. By day, it's a public attraction. After hours, it's one of London's most distinctive private event spaces.

Event Spaces Across Sky Garden

The venue spans Levels 35 to 37, with multiple hireable spaces ranging from 16-guest private dining to full exclusive hire for 700. City Garden on Level 36 is the dedicated events platform — set within the landscaped gardens with north-facing views toward St Paul's, the Gherkin, and Canary Wharf — accommodating 300 standing or 150 seated. The broader venue includes Darwin Brasserie (south-facing Thames views, 50–70 guests), Fenchurch Restaurant (west-facing, up to 46 diners), and the Viñoly Room for intimate private dining of 16. Full exclusive hire opens up the Sky Pod Bar on Level 35, the outdoor viewing platform, and the entire garden complex.

How Sky Garden Works for Private Events

All catering comes through rhubarb Hospitality Collection, the in-house operator known across London's premium events circuit. City Garden is available Monday to Friday from 6pm, with full-day exclusive hire limited to just 26 dates per year — making those slots genuinely competitive and worth securing well in advance. Express lifts deliver guests from street level directly to the venue floors.

The building itself is a recognisable London landmark. Guests arrive knowing where they are — they've seen the Walkie Talkie in photographs, skyline shots, and across the river from the South Bank. That built-in recognition adds a dimension to corporate entertaining and international client events that even the grandest private hire venues can't replicate.

Sky Garden in the City

Monument, Bank, and Fenchurch Street stations are all within five minutes on foot. The address carries weight for City-based corporate events, and the venue's proximity to the financial district means client entertaining doesn't require guests to travel across London.
