Shoreditch Gardens operates across the front lawns and glass atrium of the Museum of the Home in Bethnal Green — a seasonal venue open June through September where Grade I listed almshouses provide the backdrop and KERB supplies the street food. The Lawns and the Garden Setting

The main event space is the sweeping lawns in front of the Museum's 18th-century almshouses — one and a half times the size of an Olympic swimming pool, shaded by mature London Plane trees. A stretch tent covers up to 300 guests, with open lawn capacity reaching 800 standing for larger events. The Grade I listed facade creates a photogenic backdrop that no purpose-built outdoor venue can replicate, and for 2026 the space has been refreshed with a Tulum-inspired theme.

Garden Atrium at Shoreditch Gardens

Adjacent to the Lawns, the Garden Atrium sits within the Museum's contemporary glass and red-brick wing. This newly redeveloped space takes up to 250 standing with panoramic views over the Gardens Through Time, and crucially it accommodates amplified music and DJ sets — which the Lawns do not. Events typically flow from the outdoor Lawns during the earlier part of the evening into the Atrium for after-party dancing and late-night entertainment. Seated dinners for up to 100 also work in the Atrium, offering a wet-weather or evening continuation option.
