About Ministry of Sound
Thirty-plus years of club culture, one of the UK's most advanced sound systems, and a 24-hour licence. Ministry of Sound opened in a converted bus garage on Gaunt Street in September 1991, and the brand needs no introduction — Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Judge Jules, and decades of house, trance, and electronic music have embedded this venue in London's cultural fabric. What's less well known is that the same six interconnected spaces that host club nights also handle conferences, awards ceremonies, brand launches, and corporate events with production infrastructure most venues can't match.
Six Rooms, One Hire at Ministry of Sound
The venue operates as a single bookable unit — all six spaces come together. The 103 serves as the central hub, with its 12-metre bar, wall-to-wall LED screens, and one of the country's largest dynamic lighting rigs. The Box is the 600-capacity main room with sprung floor and balcony. The Courtyard adds 400–500 standing outdoors with retractable canopy. The Baby Box, Lounge, and Loft each offer distinct atmospheres for breakout, VIP, or intimate add-ons. Guests move between rooms and moods rather than sitting in one space all night.
Beyond the Club Night at Ministry of Sound
The sound and lighting infrastructure that made Ministry famous translates directly into event production capability. Conferences use The Box for plenary and scatter breakout sessions across the supporting rooms. Brand activations use the LED screens and lighting rigs for immersive visual storytelling. Fashion shows run The 103 as a runway. The production team and dedicated technicians are included — they understand the building at a level that external suppliers would take weeks to learn.
Elephant and Castle
Five minutes from Elephant and Castle station on the Bakerloo and Northern lines. The 24-hour licence, mandatory SIA security, and in-house events coordination mean the operational side is handled — planners focus on the creative brief rather than the logistics.
