About Lio London
For nearly a century, the address at 3–4 Coventry Street hosted Café de Paris — the Piccadilly venue where Josephine Baker, Frank Sinatra, and Prince performed, where the guest list read like a social register of the twentieth century. In 2023, Pacha Group reopened the Grade II listed space as Lio London, combining the Jazz Age ballroom with Ibiza's cabaret-meets-nightclub format. The heritage stayed. The energy shifted.
The Show and the Space at Lio London
Lio London's signature is its immersive cabaret show — a three-hour production featuring singers, dancers, and acrobats performing between courses of a Mediterranean-inspired menu. The show runs September through June, Thursday to Saturday, with Sunday through Tuesday reserved for private hire. That dual identity gives the venue an unusual proposition: book on a show night and your guests experience a fully produced evening of entertainment without any additional programming; book a private hire date and you get the Ballroom and Mezzanine as a blank canvas with a retractable stage, moveable DJ booth, and full production infrastructure already in place.
Dining and Drinks at Lio London
The food operation reflects the calibre of the wider production. Former Kensington Palace executive chef Attila Kalanyos leads a Mediterranean-inspired menu, with the wine list curated by Romain Audrerie, previously at Chiltern Firehouse. Bespoke food and beverage packages are available for private events, and 360-degree fully serviced bars on both the Ballroom and Mezzanine levels ensure drinks service keeps pace with large-format receptions. The venue holds a licence for civil ceremonies, adding weddings to the event portfolio.
Piccadilly Circus and Late-Night Licence
Lio London sits steps from Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square stations, placing it at the centre of London's most accessible transport hub. The late licence extends to 3am, and post-event access to Lio's club night is included for private hire bookings — a natural continuation that keeps guests within the venue rather than dispersing into the night. The 21-and-over age policy and smart dress code maintain the venue's positioning, ensuring the atmosphere matches the setting.
