Shoreditch Station operated from 1865 to 1940, and the Victorian ticket hall that served generations of rail passengers now operates as one of East London's most established dry hire venues. Kachette — named from the French for hiding place — sits beneath live railway bridges at the busy corner of Old Street and Kingsland Road, its original brickwork, arched ceilings, and iconic station clock preserved as the backdrop for events ranging from Google product launches to London Fashion Week shows.

The venue's appeal lies in the tension between its industrial character and its flexibility.
