Hotel Xenia Autograph Collection

Hotel Xenia takes its name from the ancient Greek concept of hospitality — generous care for guests and strangers — and occupies an 1870 Victorian townhouse on Cromwell Road in Kensington. Now part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, it's a 99-room boutique hotel with three hireable event spaces, an Italian restaurant, and a heated outdoor terrace connecting several of them. The character is boutique rather than corporate — these are rooms designed for atmosphere, not capacity.

La Cantina

The largest event space seats 30 boardroom-style or holds 60 standing, equipped with an 84-inch smart screen, in-room sound system, and mood lighting. La Cantina connects to the conservatory and heated terrace, creating a natural flow between the formal meeting space and more relaxed breakout areas. That indoor-outdoor connection makes it versatile — presentations in the main room, drinks on the terrace, networking in between.

Bohemia

The smaller of the two meeting rooms seats 12 boardroom-style with a 42-inch screen and conference phone. Bohemia is deliberately unconventional — designed to encourage creative thinking rather than replicate a corporate boardroom. The quirky interiors suit brainstorms, planning sessions, and off-site meetings where the environment should shake people out of their usual patterns.

La Terrazza

The hotel's Italian restaurant operates as a private dining space for groups from 8 to 40 guests. The conservatory setting is bright and welcoming, with Italian-inflected menus under Chef Raffaele Lauriola. For event planners, the advantage is having a dedicated restaurant kitchen producing consistently good food for groups — not a catering operation bolted onto a meeting room.

Kensington Location

Cromwell Road puts Hotel Xenia between the V&A, the Natural History Museum, and the Royal Albert Hall — useful context for events that combine a venue booking with cultural programming. Earl's Court and Gloucester Road stations are both within a five-minute walk. The hotel is licensed for weddings and can arrange preferred suppliers for DJ, band, and dancefloor hire. AV equipment — smart screens, sound systems, connectivity — is built into each space.
