About Horizon 22
Two hundred and fifty-four metres above Bishopsgate, Level 58 of the City of London's tallest building operates as a free public viewing gallery by day and an exclusive hire event space by night. Horizon 22 is one of those rare venues where the setting genuinely does most of the work — 300-degree panoramic views across London's skyline, from the Shard and Tower Bridge to St Paul's and beyond, visible through floor-to-ceiling glass in every direction.
The Space at Horizon 22
817 square metres of open floor plan with an 8.4-metre ceiling height that gives the room a sense of scale few London venues can match. The space operates as a blank canvas — no fixed furniture, no permanent staging — which is what makes it work across formats as different as seated dinners for 280 and standing receptions for 500. Searcys manages all catering and event operations, drawing on over 175 years of hospitality experience. Their seasonal menus run from breakfast canapés through to full formal dining, and the events team handles production coordination from enquiry through to the night itself.
Production and Technical Spec
The technology package is built in rather than hired: moving and static LED spotlights, stage lighting, an L-Acoustics PA system, and a 4K LED wall measuring 4.4 by 6.6 metres. For award ceremonies, product launches, and fashion shows, that in-house spec removes an entire layer of production logistics — and cost — that most blank canvas venues push onto the client. The space is available for exclusive hire from 6am to 9:30am and 7pm to 3am, seven days a week, with an alcohol licence running to 3am.
Bishopsgate and City Access
Horizon 22 has its own dedicated entrance directly from Bishopsgate, separate from the building's office lobby. Two high-speed lifts reach Level 58 in around 41 seconds — a detail that sounds minor until you've managed guest arrivals at a high-rise venue with slow lifts and long queues. Liverpool Street station is the closest connection, with Moorgate and Bank both within walking distance.
