Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace

A 34,000 square foot roller rink inside a Grade II listed former power station, operated by Broadwick Live at Exhibition London in Shepherd's Bush. Flipper's isn't a venue that happens to have entertainment — the entertainment is the venue. Originally a 1979 LA institution co-founded with disco-era credibility, the London incarnation opened in 2022 with backing from Liberty Ross, Kevin Wall, and Usher, bringing genuine roller disco heritage to a building that matches its ambition.

What Makes Flipper's Work for Events

The venue operates across multiple levels, each with its own character. The ground floor houses Hot Dogs & Caviar — a full restaurant and bar with an American diner menu built around Wagyu smash burgers and Nashville hot chicken. Above it, a black lacquered roller rink accommodates up to 250 skaters at a time, with a performance stage, rinkside booths, and its own bar. The Lizard Lounge mezzanine offers a 100-capacity VIP space with a private entrance. Full venue hire brings the total to 2,000 standing — serious scale for a space where every guest has something to do from the moment they arrive.

Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace for Corporate and Private Celebrations

Roller skating solves the biggest problem in event planning: getting people to actually engage. Guests who haven't skated since childhood find themselves laughing within minutes, and the activity creates a shared experience that drinks receptions can't replicate. That makes Flipper's particularly effective for Christmas parties, team celebrations, and milestone birthdays where the brief is "memorable, not another standing-around event." The late licence runs to 1am, so evenings have room to breathe.

Location and Access at Flipper's

Situated on the Westfield London campus at Ariel Way, W12 — well connected via Shepherd's Bush and White City stations, with the retail district providing straightforward arrival logistics. The Grade II listed power station exterior signals something more interesting than a standard function venue before guests even walk in.
