Boisdale of Canary Wharf occupies the full facade of Cabot Hall's first and second floors — 12,000 square feet of Scottish restaurant, live jazz club, whisky bar, and cigar terrace overlooking the fountains of Cabot Square with uninterrupted views to the City of London skyline. It is, by some distance, the most distinctive venue in the Canary Wharf estate. Jools Holland is Patron of Music, live jazz and blues run nightly, the whisky bar holds over 1,000 bottles — the UK's largest — and a 16-square-metre walk-in cigar humidor operates alongside a dedicated cigar shop and heated terrace.

Boisdale's Two Floors in Canary Wharf

The first floor houses the Art Deco-inspired Hine Bar — a crescent of white marble bar surrounded by palm trees, red sofas, and an Oyster Bar — plus a heated garden terrace and the 1,000 sq ft cigar terrace with members' lockers. The second floor is the main 250-seat restaurant with live music stage, world-class sound system, and the whisky bar. Interior design throughout runs to lacquer red and dark green walls, rich mahogany panelling, and an eclectic collection of classical and modern original artwork including pieces by Jack Vettriano. Run by Ranald Macdonald — elder son of the 24th Chief of Clanranald — the Scottish heritage is genuine, not decorative.

Private Dining and Events at Boisdale

Four private dining rooms handle intimate events from 12 to 40 guests, each with City skyline views. The Paul Gauguin Room seats up to 40 with concertina doors for flexible privacy. The Gallery Room takes 40 seated or 60 standing. The Jack Vettriano and Johnnie Walker Rooms each seat 12. For larger events, exclusive hire of the full venue accommodates 500 standing or 250 for a seated dinner across both floors — first floor for arrival drinks and terrace, second floor for dinner and entertainment.
