Behind The Bike Shed

Four Victorian railway arches, a 30-metre private road, and the Bike Shed Moto Co.'s bar, restaurant, barbershop, and tattoo studio as your lobby. Behind The Bike Shed in Shoreditch isn't a venue that tries to manufacture industrial character — it's a working motorcycle club where the event spaces happen to include 14,000 square feet of beautifully renovated arches with production-grade infrastructure.

Drive-In Capability at Behind The Bike Shed

The private road is the differentiator. Vehicles drive directly into Arch 3 through fully extending glass doors — a capability that attracted Aston Martin and BSA Motorcycles for product launches and has since hosted fashion shows, brand activations, immersive experiences, and weddings that wanted something more visceral than a hotel ballroom. It's not just access; it's creative real estate that extends the event footprint outdoors.

Victorian Brickwork and Modern Infrastructure at Behind The Bike Shed

The arches deliver atmosphere without dressing — exposed Victorian brick, vaulted ceilings, natural light through large glass windows. But beneath the raw aesthetic sits serious production capability: permanent AV and lighting rigs, studio-grade ceiling rigging points, three-phase power, underfloor heating, and water access throughout. Dry hire gives complete creative control, with the installed infrastructure reducing what production teams need to bring in.

Shoreditch's Subcultural Arrival

Guests don't arrive through a reception desk. They walk past motorcycles, through a working restaurant and bar, alongside a retail space and barbershop — an experience that sets the tone before they reach the event. That context matters for brand activations and lifestyle events where the journey from street to space is part of the story. Old Street station is a short walk, and the Shoreditch neighbourhood provides its own after-dark ecosystem.
