Full Venue Hire at Zombie Games Café & Bar

Two venues in one — a retro gaming café upstairs and a neon-lit basement club downstairs, connected by a staircase and a shared love of pop culture. Zombie Games Café & Bar on Cricklewood Broadway offers full venue hire for up to 120 standing across both floors, with gaming equipment, a DJ booth, a dance floor, and a late licence built into the package. This is a genuinely niche venue. Owner Paddy built the concept from the Sparta Card Gaming community, and the result crosses retro gaming culture with late-night bar energy in a way that’s distinct from anything else in north-west London. Pop culture memorabilia lines the walls, graffiti-style artwork covers the surfaces, and the two floors offer completely different experiences that can run simultaneously or separately.

Upstairs: The Retro Bar & Café

The ground floor is the gaming heart of the venue — retro consoles, board games, trading card setups, and pop culture memorabilia creating a space that’s part café, part games room, part nostalgia trip. Capacity runs to 30 seated or 60 standing. For events, the upstairs works as a casual social space: team-building sessions around Mario Kart tournaments, birthday parties with board games and consoles available, or corporate socials that need an icebreaker built into the venue. The gaming equipment is part of the hire, so there’s no need to bring your own entertainment.

The Upside Down: Basement Club

The basement — named The Upside Down — shifts the mood entirely. Neon lighting, a dedicated dance floor, DJ booth, disco ball, and a fully functional PA system turn the lower level into a nightclub-ready space. Capacity matches the upstairs: 32 seated or 60 standing. The contrast is the venue’s strongest asset. An event can start with gaming and cocktails upstairs, then move to dancing and DJs downstairs as the evening progresses. External DJs and entertainers are welcome, or you can use the in-house PA system and play your own music.

Hiring Zombie Games

Full venue hire across both floors takes up to 80 seated or 120 standing. Individual floor hire is also available, which makes the venue flexible across event sizes — a smaller team event might only need the upstairs, while a large birthday party or brand activation can use the full building. In-house catering and a full bar are included — draught beers, cocktails, and a food menu that complements the informal atmosphere. A projector is available for presentations, screenings, or gaming projected onto the big screen. The late licence means events aren’t cut short at 11pm.

Events That Work at Zombie Games Café & Bar

The gaming angle makes this a natural fit for team-building events, gaming community meetups, brand activations with a pop culture hook, and birthday parties that want something more memorable than a generic bar hire. The basement club space extends the range to engagement parties, milestone celebrations, and any event that wants to end with dancing. Decoration is permitted throughout, so themed events — retro gaming nights, pop culture parties, Halloween, comic book launches — have a canvas that already speaks the right visual language.
