SUSHISAMBA Covent Garden occupies the Opera Terrace atop the Grade II listed Market Building at 35 The Market, running the full length of the east side beneath an Eric Parry-designed glass roof. The Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion concept isn’t a marketing angle — it’s a considered culinary identity executed by a team with theatre-style open kitchen, robata grill, and high-energy sushi bar. The restaurant’s dramatic black and white marble floors, a living ceiling of South American and Japanese plants, and views across the Piazza create a setting where the food matches the architecture. Full venue exclusive hire accommodates 115–150 seated or up to 300 standing. In-house catering only — the tri-cultural fusion menus are central to the SUSHISAMBA experience and aren’t available elsewhere.

The Private Dining Room

Situated in the South Pavilion — one of the oldest parts of the original Market Building — the Private Dining Room seats up to 15 at a handmade circular dining table beneath chain mail lighting on plush blue velvet chairs. Reversible Japanese screens provide flexibility: faceted mirrors on one side for contemporary events, traditional Japanese pastoral scenes on the other for intimate dinners. The room comes with its own private balcony overlooking the Covent Garden Piazza — a genuinely impressive arrival for welcome drinks or post-dinner nightcaps. Semi-Private Hire at SUSHISAMBA

The semi-private restaurant area accommodates up to 80 guests standing across multiple tables, with drinks reception space near the sushi counter. This works for corporate entertaining, celebration dinners, and group bookings where the atmosphere of the full restaurant — open kitchen energy, cocktail bar, the Piazza buzz — adds to the experience without requiring exclusive hire. The Speakeasy

Hidden within the restaurant, the Speakeasy bar is an intimate 30-capacity standing space suited to networking events, VIP receptions, and small private parties. The concealed entrance and intimate scale give it genuine character as a venue-within-a-venue.
