Full Venue Hire at Star by Liverpool Street

Star by Liverpool Street is a multi-level entertainment venue built around karaoke at scale — seven themed karaoke rooms, two dedicated function spaces, four bars across two floors, and a food partnership with Chuck Burger Bar, all within a three-minute walk of Liverpool Street Station. Full venue hire accommodates up to 500 guests with the karaoke rooms, function spaces, and bars operating simultaneously. The venue solves a common event planning challenge: how to create energy and interaction without relying on guests to generate it themselves. Karaoke rooms give groups structured entertainment from arrival, while the function spaces and bars provide traditional party and reception areas for when people want to talk, eat, or dance instead.

Karaoke Heaven

The basement level — branded Karaoke Heaven — houses seven individually themed karaoke rooms ranging from intimate 8-person booths to a 50-person space, powered by state-of-the-art machines with over 20,000 songs. Each room has its own design identity: The Star Room, Gold Room, Jungle Room, Pink Room, and larger Backstage Room and Glam Palace function spaces. Sessions are scored, adding a competitive element that works particularly well for team events. Karaoke rooms book in two-hour slots, with longer sessions available on request.

Function Spaces at Star by Liverpool Street

The Backstage Room holds 30 seated or 50 standing with its own private bar, mood lighting, colour-changing LEDs, and a full AV and sound system — Funktion One speakers deliver genuine audio quality. Karaoke can be added to the room, making it work equally well as a presentation space, dinner venue, or party room. The Glam Palace accommodates up to 80 standing with its own private bar, Funktion One sound system, DJ decks, optional karaoke, and mirror ball. It’s a self-contained basement space designed for celebrations that want to run their own programme — from DJ sets to karaoke parties to corporate events. Firestarter sits at ground level as a self-contained restaurant space for 120 standing, equipped with Funktion One sound, projector, and mirror ball. It’s wheelchair accessible and doubles as a sit-down dining space through the Chuck Burger Bar food partnership.

Upper Floors

The Top Floor offers the largest single space — 250 standing across booths, banquettes, and poser tables, with a private entrance and VIP bar access. The Lounge on the ground floor holds 100+ standing, separated from the main bar by a large divider curtain, and has hosted everything from drag bingo and pub quiz tournaments to large standing receptions.

Food and Drink

Food comes from Chuck Burger Bar — speciality burgers, sliders, and small plates using coal-roasted cooking techniques. Customisable food and drink packages can be arranged in advance or ordered on the day, with drinks delivered directly to karaoke rooms. The craft beer selection features Camden Brewery prominently alongside cocktails and wines. External food and drink are not permitted. The alcohol licence runs until 1am.

Practical Details

DJs play Thursday through Saturday in the basement and bar areas. Under-18s are allowed until 8pm but the venue doesn’t host 18th–21st birthday parties. The venue sits on Middlesex Street, a three-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, with Aldgate Station equally close. Bank, Moorgate, and Shoreditch High Street are all within walking distance.
