Studio 1 and 2 at Motel Studios

Two interconnected Victorian railway arches — Studio 1 and Studio 2 — hired together as a single event space with a combined standing capacity of around 430 guests. The arches are connected by an internal corridor, which gives events a natural flow between zones: welcome drinks and registration in one studio, main event in the other, guests moving through at their own pace.

What the Combined Hire Offers

Studio 1 runs to around 2,000 square feet with its own mezzanine; Studio 2 adds another 2,100 square feet at ground level. Both have the exposed brick arches, polished concrete, and high ceilings that define the venue’s character, but each arch has a slightly different feel — enough variation to give different parts of an event their own energy. The in-house PA, Sonos system, projection screen, and 63-amp power supply cover production basics, with full AV and lighting hire available on top.

Drive-In Access and Catering at Motel Studios

The arch entrances allow full drive-in access — vehicles, set builds, and large installations can be brought directly into the space, which is rare for a Shoreditch venue. Catering comes via external suppliers coordinated through the Motel team, with the venue providing kitchen facilities, furniture, glassware, and staffing. The alcohol licence runs to midnight with extensions available, and the venue supplies security and cleaning as part of the hire.
