Full Venue Hire at Kona Kai

South Pacific theming, serious cocktails, and a 2am licence — Kona Kai is a Polynesian tiki bar on the Fulham/Chelsea border, less than two minutes from Fulham Broadway station, where the drinks programme is the genuine draw and the comprehensive tiki environment handles everything else. Full venue hire accommodates 350 standing, with the Bamboo Lounge taking up to 80 as a private space and the Semi-Private Area holding 100 with its own projector, screen, and DJ booth. A 2am licence keeps the evening going well beyond standard bar closing times, and the venue’s reputation has been built on its drinks — premium spirits, home-made infusions, and tropical ingredients served in a space designed and built by Cheeky Tiki, one of the UK’s specialist tiki design firms.

Spaces and Layout at Kona Kai

The Bamboo Lounge is a private space for up to 80, suitable for birthday celebrations and smaller gatherings with its own tiki atmosphere and service. The Semi-Private Area accommodates 100 standing with a projector and screen — workable for corporate presentations and team meetings alongside social events — and a DJ booth for parties. Full venue hire takes the entire space for 350, with the complete tiki environment, DJ capability, and bar access throughout. The bespoke Italian pink marble bar is a design feature that signals the venue’s commitment to its aesthetic beyond standard tropical clichés.

Cocktails, Food, and Party Packages at Kona Kai

The cocktail programme is the centrepiece. Signature drinks use premium spirits with house-made infusions and tropical ingredients — rum-forward but ranging across the full tiki and classic cocktail repertoire, with sharing options for groups of two to eight. The in-house kitchen operates a pizza oven alongside canapé packages for events. Party packages combine food and drink at pre-arranged pricing, and drinks packages can be customised for private hire. Resident DJs perform live on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm playing charts, hip hop, house, disco, and old school mashups.

Events at Kona Kai Fulham

The tiki theming does the decoration for you — and that’s a genuine advantage for party organisers. Birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, hen nights, and team socials arrive to a space that’s already dressed and atmospheric without requiring additional production. The venue also hosts regular events including salsa nights and cocktail making classes. For corporate bookings, the semi-private area’s projector and screen handle presentations within a social setting. Storage is available for any additional elements, though most events work with what the venue provides.
