Atrium at Hoxton Docks

Positioned between the birch-tree courtyard and Regent’s Canal, the Atrium at Hoxton Docks occupies the transitional ground between indoor warehouse and outdoor waterside. It’s the venue’s second main event space — smaller and more connected to the outdoors than the Boat, with canal views and a spatial relationship to the water that gives it a different character entirely.

Capacity sits at up to 700 standing or 300 seated, though the space works best when configured to emphasise its unique position bridging courtyard and canal. The same nineteenth-century industrial heritage runs through it — this was a coal storage facility before it was anything else — but the Atrium’s defining quality is its relationship with the outdoors. Canal views on one side, courtyard access on the other, and a sense of openness that the enclosed Boat space handles differently. Like the Boat, this is full dry hire: blank canvas, bring your own everything. Cloakroom facilities, accessible toilets, kitchen access, car park, and courtyard access are included. The alcohol licence runs to midnight with extensions available.

The courtyard-to-canal flow makes the Atrium particularly strong for receptions and networking events where guests move between indoor and outdoor spaces naturally. Product launches benefit from the canal backdrop — it’s a photogenic setting that looks distinctive in coverage without requiring set design. Corporate events and brand activations get the same blank canvas freedom as the Boat, with a lighter, more open feel. Weddings suit the Atrium when the ceremony or reception can spill into the courtyard among the birch trees, with the canal providing a backdrop that feels both urban and surprisingly green. Exhibitions and art events draw on the Antepavilion connection and the venue’s creative-hub context.

Combining Spaces Across Hoxton Docks

The Atrium and Boat can be combined for larger events across the full 30,000-square-foot site, with the courtyard, rooftop, green room, club, bar, and photo studio all available as additional zones. For multi-space events — festivals, all-day brand activations, large weddings — the ability to programme different areas for different purposes gives production teams real flexibility. The car park handles load-in logistics that would be difficult on most East London canal paths.
