Full Venue Hire at Heist Bank

Heist Bank is a canalside games bar in Paddington where wood-fired pizza, craft beer, and an absurd amount of entertainment fill a venue that takes fun seriously. Full venue hire accommodates up to 300 standing or 120 seated across the main bar, pool room, outdoor terrace, and a basement Games Room that is essentially a private party bunker with its own self-serve bar. The entertainment is the point. A Cleon Daniel pool table, foosball, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, board games old and new — and that’s just the ground floor. The Games Room downstairs adds a built-in projector, web-based karaoke with thousands of songs, and a classic Nintendo 64 console. The variety means different guests find different things to enjoy, and the activity level stays high without anyone needing to organise structured programming.

The Games Room at Heist Bank

The basement Games Room is the standout hire space — fully private, holding up to 50 standing or 32 seated, with its own self-serve bar stocked with your chosen drinks. The projector handles presentations during the day and karaoke at night. The Nintendo 64 brings out the competitive streak in anyone who grew up with GoldenEye or Mario Kart. The room can be hired from as early as 9am for daytime meetings and presentations (it seats 30 theatre-style), then transforms into a party space from early evening onwards.

Pool Room and Main Bar

The Pool Room on the ground floor accommodates 30–90 guests with exclusive use of the full-size pool table and board games. It’s semi-private, adjacent to the main bar, which provides atmosphere and easy access to drinks. For events that want more space without full venue hire, the Pool Room works as a self-contained area with its own character. The main bar has 11 regularly rotating beer taps, a global wine list, and a cocktail programme. The restaurant serves seasonal small and large plates alongside the venue’s signature: metre-long wood-fired pizzas made with fresh yeast and Italian flour, baked in-house daily.

Heist Bank’s Canalside Terrace

The outdoor terrace seats around 50 along the Paddington canal — a surprisingly peaceful setting given the W2 location. Summer events extend onto the water’s edge, and the canal views give the terrace a character that most urban outdoor spaces lack. It’s a strong option for warm-weather drinks receptions before heading inside for food and games.

Catering and Practicalities at Heist Bank

In-house catering covers everything from metre-long pizzas (serving 10, ideal for sharing) to feasting menus served family-style and finger food boards. No external alcohol is permitted, though corkage for one special drink per guest can be arranged. No external catering except birthday or wedding cakes. Alcohol licence runs to midnight with 1am extensions available. Dogs are welcome. No glitter, confetti, or streamers. The venue is part of the same events team as Golden Bee and Bloomsbury Bowling — over 35 years of combined experience — meaning professional event management behind a deliberately casual facade. Paddington station is nearby, with Elizabeth Line, Bakerloo, Circle, District, and Hammersmith & City connections making it one of the best-connected venues in West London.
