About Green Lens Studios

Green Lens Studios is a converted 1880s stable building in Haringey that splits across two levels — a ground floor photography studio and an upstairs event space where exposed pitch roof beams and original wooden flooring give the room the warmth of a countryside cabin dropped into Zone 3. The whole venue takes up to 70 guests for exclusive hire, with the upstairs handling 60 standing or 35 seated and the ground floor adapting for additional event capacity. It’s an unusual space: genuinely characterful at a scale that suits pop-up dinners, birthday parties, creative workshops, and intimate celebrations. The upstairs is the main event space. The pitched roof with exposed beams creates height and visual interest without the cavernous feel that larger converted spaces often have, and the wooden flooring throughout keeps the acoustics warm. The ground floor studio measures 4.5m by 12m with access through double doors — it works as an extension of the upstairs for larger events, a separate activity space for split-format bookings (children downstairs, adults up is a popular configuration), or a standalone hire for smaller gatherings and creative sessions.

Equipment and Setup

The venue comes equipped with a projector and PA system with 3.5mm jack connection, which covers presentations, film screenings, and background music without needing external AV hire. Furniture includes four folding tables, 25 plastic folding chairs, five wooden chairs, and plates, glasses, and cutlery for 30 guests. A long table configuration seats 25–35 on the ground floor for dinner-style events. The combination of included equipment and the venue’s own kitchen facilities means smaller events can run without significant external supply.

Wet and Dry Hire at Green Lens

Both wet and dry hire are available, which is a meaningful distinction for a space this size. Dry hire gives full control over catering, drinks, and suppliers — useful for pop-up dinners with a specific chef or events with particular dietary requirements. Wet hire through the venue can include catering, styling, and music, reducing the coordination load for hirers who want a simpler setup. The kitchen facilities on-site support either model.

The Outdoor Space

An outdoor area integrates with the main building, providing additional capacity for warm-weather events and a natural overflow zone for parties that want indoor-outdoor flow. For summer bookings, it effectively extends the usable space beyond the building’s footprint.

Location and Access

Green Lens Studios is at 4a Atterbury Road, Finsbury Park, London N4 1SF. Harringey overground is three minutes’ walk, with Finsbury Park and Harringey Green Lanes stations also within walking distance — giving it connections to the Overground, Victoria, and Piccadilly lines. Free off-road parking for two vehicles is available on-site. Ground floor access is through double doors, which accommodates equipment loading and accessibility needs.
