Full Venue Hire at Gaucho Hampstead

Gaucho Hampstead is the Hampstead Village outpost of the Argentine steak restaurant group, located at 64 Heath Street within walking distance of both Hampstead tube and the Heath. For event hire, the combination of a 150-standing-capacity interior, a year-round heated terrace with traditional Asado fire pit, and structured group dining and event packages makes it one of the more versatile private hire options in the NW3 area. Exclusive venue hire accommodates up to 140 guests across the restaurant’s indoor spaces. The terrace adds 35 seated or 70 standing, and operates year-round — heated with blankets provided during colder months, and used for Asado fire pit cookouts and al fresco dining through summer. The combined indoor and terrace capacity gives planners flexibility to use the outdoor space as an extension of the main event rather than a seasonal add-on.

Event Formats and Group Dining at Gaucho Hampstead

The venue offers structured group dining menus at several tiers: sharing, signature, and feast options, making it straightforward to build a food-focused event without lengthy menu negotiations. The in-house kitchen handles all catering — the menu centres on Argentine steak and Latin American dishes, supported by an extensive wine list. For standing receptions and canapé-led events, a separate canapé menu is available alongside the main dining options. The restaurant’s interior is larger than its street frontage suggests. Dark wood, ambient lighting, and wine displays create an atmosphere that works for both corporate entertaining and private celebrations. The layout handles larger group bookings naturally, with enough depth to the space that a party of 80 doesn’t feel like it’s commandeered a restaurant — it feels like an event.

The Asado Terrace

The courtyard terrace with its traditional Asado fire pit is the feature that distinguishes this branch from other Gaucho locations. In summer, the fire pit becomes a focal point for outdoor dining and BBQ-format events. In winter, heated terrace dining with blankets adds character that most restaurant terraces lose once temperatures drop. The terrace accommodates its own events — a drinks reception for 70 or a seated dinner for 35 — or integrates with the indoor space for larger hires.

Practical Details for Hiring Gaucho Hampstead

The venue is licensed until 11pm, with midnight availability for some bookings. The restaurant operates Monday to Sunday, with Saturday opening from 10am. All catering is in-house — Argentine and Latin American cuisine only, which means this isn’t a venue for planners who need menu flexibility beyond that remit, but for groups who want steak and South American cooking, the quality is reliable and consistent. Hampstead tube is walking distance, and the Heath Street location places the venue in the heart of Hampstead Village.

What Works Best Here

Gaucho Hampstead is well suited to corporate team dinners, client entertaining, milestone birthday celebrations, and social events in the NW3 area. The terrace and fire pit give it a point of difference for summer events, the year-round heated outdoor space extends its range beyond the typical restaurant hire, and the Hampstead Village setting adds a sense of occasion that generic high-street restaurant hires lack.
