About CodeNode

Twenty-three thousand square feet of purpose-built tech events space at 10 South Place, a short walk from Moorgate station in the City of London. Full venue hire at CodeNode gives exclusive access to six event rooms named after keyboard keys, a 5,000 square foot breakout zone with its own licensed bar, and an in-house events team with over twelve years of experience running exactly the kind of gatherings that tech companies, developer communities, and innovation-focused corporates actually hold.

CodeNode Full Venue — Spaces and Configuration

Ctrl is the main auditorium — 330 theatre capacity with 4-metre ceilings, dual 3m x 5m projection screens, a built-in stage, and full AV support including eight microphones, loudspeakers, comfort monitors, and an in-room technician. CMD holds 88–120 in theatre configuration with two projectors and direct access to the ESCape breakout area. Alt/Tab is a dividable dual room — 150 theatre combined, 96 cabaret, splitting into two independent spaces via an operable wall. Shift takes 80 in theatre. Backspace is a smaller room included only with full venue hire. All six rooms plus ESCape, the SpaceBar, reception area, venue furniture, Wi-Fi, games tables, and the full events team come with the hire.

What CodeNode Handles Best

Tech conferences are the natural fit — the venue was built for them, and the infrastructure reflects it. Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi, abundant power sockets, ceiling-mounted projectors, whiteboards and flipcharts throughout, and an AV production studio handle the technical demands that generic conference venues often fumble. Hackathons work particularly well across the multi-room layout, with coding teams in breakout rooms and communal energy in ESCape. Product launches, developer community events, e-sports tournaments, and corporate meetups all benefit from a venue where the technical team speaks the audience’s language. The large loading bay and goods lift support exhibition builds and heavy equipment delivery. External catering is permitted — the venue doesn’t offer in-house food but works with preferred suppliers and a recommended catering list covering everything from day delegate packages to evening reception catering. Standard access runs 8am–6pm, with extended hours and evening-before setup available for events requiring technical rehearsals or exhibitor builds.

CodeNode’s City Location

The EC2 postcode places CodeNode at the border between the Square Mile and Shoreditch’s tech cluster. Moorgate station is a two-minute walk, Liverpool Street slightly further, and the Elizabeth Line at Farringdon opens up fast connections across London. For tech companies based in the City or East London corridor, it’s a location that feels like home ground rather than a trek across town.
