About Brewers Hall
Discretion, not spectacle, is what Brewers’ Hall sells. Tucked into Aldermanbury Square behind London Wall, this livery hall lets the entire first floor on an exclusive basis to one client at a time — no shared spaces, no other events running simultaneously, no risk of guests crossing paths with another function. For organisations that need privacy, heritage gravitas, and intimate scale in the City of London, that exclusivity is the point.
The Livery Hall and Court Room at Brewers’ Hall
Three interconnecting rooms form the event suite. The Livery Hall — oak-panelled, naturally lit from windows overlooking the square, with three chandeliers and hand-carved architraves around every door and window — seats 80 for dinner at round tables or takes 120 for standing receptions when the adjoining Court Room is included. Theatre-style, it handles around 90 for presentations and conferences. It’s the largest room in the building, highly suited to formal lunches, dinner dances, and corporate presentations where the setting needs to communicate substance. The Court Room is the more intimate space: pine-panelled, furnished with antiques, and anchored by a Verona marble fireplace sculpted by Sir Charles Wheeler — the same artist responsible for the facade of the Bank of England. It seats 24 for private dinners, works as a reception area for Livery Hall events, and provides a striking setting for smaller meetings and lunches where the surroundings matter as much as the agenda.Events, Heritage and Brewing at Brewers’ Hall
A gallery reception space on the first floor landing provides a welcoming area for pre-dinner drinks and guest arrival — a circulation space that gives events a proper sense of progression from the marble lobby up the carved oak staircase and into the reception before entering the main rooms. The Committee Room seats 8 to 12 for private dining or serves as an organiser’s office during larger events, keeping event management discreetly separate from guest areas. The Worshipful Company of Brewers is one of the oldest City of London Livery Companies, with origins dating to the medieval period. That heritage isn’t just decorative — it enables beer tasting experiences unique to this venue, adding an interactive element to corporate entertaining, team events, and Christmas parties that livery hall competitors can’t replicate. For Christmas events specifically, the venue offers themed packages with DJ, dance floor, casino tables, and magicians alongside the traditional livery hall dining experience — proving the setting accommodates celebration as naturally as ceremony.Catering, Access and Practical Details at Brewers’ Hall
Company of Cooks manages all catering — sustainable, ethical sourcing with menus designed around seasonal British ingredients. The catering partnership is embedded rather than hired, which means consistency across events and a kitchen team that knows the building’s service routes, timing, and capacity for simultaneous courses. Day delegate rates cover conferences and meetings for up to 100 delegates, and the venue handles the full spectrum from morning conferences through to evening dinner dances, with wedding ceremonies also licensed. Air-conditioned throughout, the venue runs with an alcohol licence until 23:00 with extensions available for events that need to run later. Nearest stations are Bank, Moorgate, Mansion House, and St Paul’s, all within a short walk. City Thameslink, Blackfriars, London Bridge, and Liverpool Street provide mainline connections within a mile. The quiet square setting provides a calm arrival away from the traffic of London Wall — guests step through a marble lobby and up a carved oak staircase to reach the event floor, an entrance sequence that sets the tone before the first room is revealed.Capacity at Brewers Hall
