The Grand Temple + Vestibules, Tower Doors & Long Room at 60 Great Queen Street

The Grand Temple is an exceptional auditorium. Fixed tiered seating with excellent sightlines, a permanent stage and a 60ft ceiling height make it a natural choice for large-scale conferences and summits. Enjoy extensive production infrastructure: multiple ceiling rigging points throughout, no weight restrictions on lighting rigs or staging installations and sound capability up to 110 decibels. The space handles a straightforward conference format just as effectively as it handles one with complex production, as well as immersive brand events, film premieres or cinematic screenings. The stage can be extended into a catwalk-style format or the room partitioned with draping for a more intimate audience feel.

A full Grand Temple booking includes the complete arrival sequence and supporting spaces. Guests enter through the iconic bronze Tower Doors off Great Queen Street, use the Grade II listed foyer and cloakroom for registration and ascend the marble staircase into The Vestibules: three interconnected Art Deco rooms that become the central catering and networking hub for the day. Morning coffee, lunch, afternoon breaks and evening drinks all happen here, which keeps the Grand Temple set and focused on the programme. The Long Room is available alongside as a breakout, exhibition, sponsor showcase or lounge space. For larger events, the Grand Officers’ Suite, South Gallery, additional committee rooms and The Gallery can all be brought in to expand the footprint.

Maximum capacity is 900 guests; premium event numbers typically run 300 to 600. The space scales well below that too, working effectively for events of 200 guests or fewer.

All catering is delivered exclusively by Moving Venue. The venue is operated by Smart Group. Standard access from 07:00–23:00; late licence until 2am available.
